20inch Hammer Mill utilises a series of hammers or flails that spin at high speed to process the product. When the hammers come into contact with the grain (or hay)it smashes the product, by forcing it through the perforated screen in the hammer mill.

The holes size diameter of the perforated screen, will impact the sample size of the product.

Clients will utilise different screens to depending on how fine they require their finished products.

As we manufacture the hammer mills inhouse, we have the ability to customise the plant to suit the clients needs. Hammer Mill in-feed hopper can be varied to suit the clients products, as well as augers fitted for discharge, or mills can be mounted on a frame to allow discharge into a screw conveyor.

Hammer mills are not ideal for processing horse feed as the processed product can be dusty, causing colic in horses. Roller mill are a better option for processing horse feed.
